CAD/ CAM

CAD, or computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), is the use of computer technology for design and design documentation. CAD software replaces manual drafting with an automated process.

Our equipment is CNC controlled utilising the latest Software communication and programming tools. We provide advice on best production practices and assist on minor modifications using cad thus reducing programming time and costs allowing us to provide clients with competitive prices.
5 Axis Milling

Components up to 430 x 430 x 430 with a maximum weight of 300 kilos can be machined on our 5 axis simultaneous milling machines.

Each machine is fully equipped with up to 60 tools, Renishaw spindle and tool probes and spindle speeds up to 20,000 rpm. All machines are programmed off line which ensures the accurate production of complex parts.
CNC Turning

Components to 648mm dia X 1118mm long can be turned in our CNC lathes, all lathes have live tooling and “Y” axis and parts up to 40mm dia can be manufactured in our bar fed machines.

Our latest lathe a DMG MORI NLX2000sy also has a sub spindle. All machines can be programmed off line which ensures the accurate production of complex parts.
CNC Milling

Components up to 1016 x 508 x 535 can be machined on our vertical milling machines. Each machine is fully equipped with up to 24 standard tools, Renishaw probes and 4th Axis.

Components up to 400 x 400 x 600 can be machined on our twin pallet vertical milling machines. Each machine is fully equipped with up to 60 standard tools and Renishaw probes.
Sliding Head

Components up to 32mm diameter can be manufactured in our 6 axis sliding head lathes to a standard that conventional machining cannot.

The biggest advantage of sliding head machines is their ability to do a great deal in one setup, and fast. Greatly reduced cycle-times and the elimination of secondary handling are achieved

Prestige Fabrications has invested in the latest CNC measuring equipment. We can inspect parts up to 640mm X 900mm X 500mm our Aberlink Axiom Too to ensure seamless delivery of quality parts.
